Update: The web site for Minden Playing Card Cricket 5th Edition is now live! The new version of this replay cricket game is available from replaycricket.com’s sister site: www.mindencricket.com.

As you may know, replaycricket.com has announced it is publishing a new edition of the classic cricket game, Minden Playing Card Cricket. We are currently well under way with the redesign of the game and are due to go into beta testing “sometime in the next month”, real life work commitments allowing.

In the meantime, we thought those who have been commenting or writing us emails might be interested in seeing some images of a rough prototype of the game. Nice design work by dd, who is about to start work on the board and then the new design for the advanced player cards :-)

As you can see, we’re still designing and editing, but we’re getting there :-)

All comments appreciated.

I don’t know Crickard. I had a look around and can find very little info on it. Does anyone have any images or further info?

Does anyone know if Crickard has been updated.

Sounds good, I’m certainly interested, somehow Minden passed me by. I remember running a tour of England by a 70s West Indies team using subbuteo cricket, somehow I convinced my mother to allow me to maintain it laid out on the dining table for a whole summer. By the end I had a pavillion set up and everything. International cricket keeps me busy these days.

Hi Jjerg, if we get enough interest we will definitely produce some First Class series packs. I agree, playing the Sheffield Shield or County Championship would be great fun.

    COOL!
Will there be any domestic season add ons? I would love to replay a Supersport or a Sheffield Shield.

Any new game is welcome. Pricing is difficult but its got to be comparable with International Cricket from Owzat Games, which is an excellent game, so no pressure! As for add ons, full Tours are good where you pay a mixture of ODI and Test cricket, also against some Counties, State etc sides. Looking forward to seeing the game.

Sounds great. Any new cricket game is welcome. Not sure about the pricing, but I would like to see the Bodyline series and maybe the Calypso summer series of Australia v the West Indies … 60/61 summer I think. What about Twenty20 and ODI?
